After recording the complete set of Mazurkas, Nocturnes, Polonaises, Songs, and Waltzes Alex Szilasi now continues his series of Chopin’s works with a selection from Impromptus and further miniatures of non-dance character. It is, however, no exaggeration to claim that the real protagonist of the recording is the marvelous instrument the pieces were performed on: the 1843 built Pleyel upright piano (pianino), Chopin’s favourite piano brand.
