Johann Sebastian Bach: Organ Works II
by Miklós Teleki (organ)
Johann Sebastian Bach’s music means to me everything that is regarded as ‘noble’ in the history of humanity; it is the perfect harmony of sense and sensibility. The programme of this album offers a random selection of compositions from Bach’s œuvre, cherry-picked from his career and from the broad range of musical forms he employed, in an attempt to provide a colourful and interesting assortment. The recording was made on the 17-register, fully mechanical organ of the Lutheran Church of Siófok with a sound designed to follow Saxon and Baroque traditions. – Miklós Teleki
